| drews222's Full Review: JVC HR-S3800 S-VHS VCR |
I have been a JVC fan for a while; however, after this experience, I may never purchase JVC again. I purchased this model for the S-VHS capability and the fact that it advertised AV-Compulink control with my receiver and the fact that it could control cable boxes or Dish Network receivers. Once unpacked, the picture quality was not good. I hooked up the AV compulink and it did not offer much in the way of ease of use or neat features. Then I ordered the IR command for my cable box. It did not work with my cable box. I ordered Dish Network, it still did not work. Then yesterday I went to turn the unit off and the switch broke pushed into the VCR.
The quality is not there. The picture is not good. The features do not work. Try another system.
