At my house we have a Mitsubishi big screen TV, and while I was reading the instruction manual one night, I came over this feature exclusive to Mitsubishi brand Audio/Video products called an Active A/V Network. You connect a special wire between the TV and other Mitsubishi A/V equipment and this lets you control the other components by pointing your remote at the TV instead of at the infrared sensor on the thing you want to control. In this case, I point the remote at the TV to control the VCR. I don't have to get up and point at the VCR at all. This is a cool thing, and especially helpful to lazy people who don't want to get off the couch or anyone else that just likes things done easier.
That feature influenced my decision to buy a Mitsubishi VCR, along with the quality and reliability you can expect from a company like Mitsubishi.
The picture quality is excellent, along with the sound. It is some of the best that I have ever experienced. We also own a cheaper Panasonic VCR that we use upstairs. By comparing the two VCRs I could tell a great difference in quality. The Mitsibishi had a sharper picture and although a little more complicated than the Panasonic, had a better on-screen menu system.
This VCR, like a lot of others has VCR+ built in so you can record a TV program by putting in a code. The VCR is very easy to set up. You plug it in and the clock sets itself automatically.
I highly recommend this VCR to anyone who wants a quality VCR. I especially recommend it to owners of Mitsubishi TVs that are equipped with the Active A/V Network most of all so you can make use of the special features you get for using Mitsubishi.
