| Astralmind's Full Review: Panasonic PV-9451 VHS VCR |
Many persons will say that VCR are a thing of the past. Sure I do love my DVD player but there are no good and affordable DVD recorder yet so VCRs are still useful. The Panasonic reviewed here is just perfect for most people.
This VCR comes with the VCR + option which let you record tv shows by entering a number you'll find in your TV guide... could be useful but then, it's more of a flashy feature. However the video records and plays movie perfectly. It comes with 2 sets of inputs (one in front) and 1 output. This video also has a nice look and is durable. Video and audio quality taped on a hifi 4 head is way better than on a cheap 2 head vcr. Panasonics VCRs will give you the best in term of quality, for mid priced VCRs. It is not S-VHS but in the VHS world, it is one of the best. The remote is backlited which is a nice addition. The remote does however, look pretty ugly and is a tad to big.
There is not much to say about a VCR, at least when it's a good one. It plays and records perfectly and it is avaliable at a more than resonable price. Be careful when you shop for a VCR (esp Panasonics), they've got many different models and most of them are just the same. Just assure yourself you get 4 heads HIFI stereo. The rest, welll choose the model you want following you needs.
