I always thought that Sony is a good product. But, there really are two sides to this great product. That is, dependability and quality.
I bought this VCR about 4 years ago and since then I had to take it to the shop every year. Best buy ever replaced my old model with a newer model because I took that VCR to the shop a few too many times.
I bought this product because I knew that the sound quality and picture quality would be great. But, I was in for a surprise. The durability of Sony products is pretty poor as I am starting to find out. Yes, the sound quality and picture quality did meet my expectations and then some, but durability really surprised me for a Sony product.
This VCR does have a lot of good features in it, but if you are looking for a long lasting product you are not going to find that feature in this Sony VCR.
I wouldn't really recommend this product to anyone.
Next time I am out shopping for a VCR I am going to give it a try to JVC or Panasonic, because I know that the quality is almost as good as Sony's and durability is probably a lot better.
