Pros: Aethestically pleasing and compatible with Sony TV remotes
Cons: Breaks down easily. VCR will reject some VHS tapes and must be reinserted repeatedly.
The Bottom Line: I cant recommend this item. Very frustrating. I would not buy another SONY VCR because of this negative experience.

| stanesq's Full Review: Sony SLV-789HF VHS VCR |
Let me preface this by saying I have been a long time believer in Sony products. So it appeared to be a no brainer to get a Sony VCR when the time came. BIG MISTAKE. While it looks good on the shelf, it fails in operation often. When you go to watch a tape, the system will reject some VHS tapes and then must be reinserted repeatedly. Sometime they work sometimes they dont. A very fickle system. My Quasar in the bedroom which was $100 cheaper works as good without the "rejecting the tape" headaches. You expect a decent product from Sony, not this.
