| jse8's Full Review: Mitsubishi HS-U781 S-VHS VCR |
After my wife and I purchased our Hi-8 Sony camcorder, we wanted to buy a VCR that would make good tapes. If you try to tape onto regular VCR's or Hi-Fi VCR's from Hi-8 camcorder, you lose alot of resolution.
We went to the local electronics store and the salesman showed us three models that would fit our needs. One was JVC, one was RCA and the other was Mitsubishi. We went with Mitsubishi because of their reputation, the features that it came with, the ability to maintain resolution while editing from our camcorder and the ability to hook up to our future home theater. The Mitsubishi comes ready with all of the audio and video jacks that you could ask for, especially the S-cable hook up both on front and back. It will even check the quality of the tape when you put it in and adjust recording conditions for optimal performance. We bought ours for much less than the MSRP. We love our S-VHS.
