This has got to be one of the best receiver out right now. From the total digital quality right down to the radio remote. If there is something else you are looking for that the DSR100U doesn't offer, then you don't really need it.
First off this receiver comes with a built in DVHS player. I have used this many times and there is no quality loss whatsoever. In fact I once sat on the remote, started a recorded movie, and thought I was still watching an original.
Another great feature is the built in easy timer programming. This thing is so easy we could install this in zoo's and have monkeys watching satellite. It is a button deal. press the button, scroll through the listings, and press the button again. You can then choose to record or just set up a reminder for later.
Want to know one other great feature? It is called Local TV link. Remember the old days when you had to use external switching for local cable channels? Well no more my friend. Just pop that cable line directly in and there is all the channels line up like soldiers at a civil war re-enactment. I would highly recommend this to all satellite owners who enjoy the simplicity of use and all the extras wrapped up in one.
