| axon54's Full Review: JVC HR-A35 VHS VCR |
I bought my first JVC VCR a few months ago. It has been a nightmare. JVC's idea of making life easier is called the Auto Picture. This feature adjusts the tracking automatically for you. The problem is it never seems to know when to come on when it should or when to not interfere when the picture is good.
Both brand new and old tapes don't seem to matter. Auto Picture seems to screw up the viewing all the time. I think this is another case of if it ain't broke don't fix it! I never did mind adjusting tracking on the odd tape. Beat the heck out og watching your VCR try and fail to do it on many tapes.
VCR plus is cool...unless you have cable, then you have to spend hours reprogramming the VCR plus feature. Picture quality? It's ok. My advice, look elsewhere when choosing a VCR.
Heck even the on/off button is ridiculous to use. You never know if you managed to turn it on or not!
