A year ago I was shopping for a inexpensive VCR for my 3 year old son to use in his room to watch his videos. And that is the reason that I purchased this Philips VCR, at a steal of $99. And what a bargain that I have gotten! Believe me, this little VCR has gotten tremendous mileage on it by now, over a year, and it continues to keep on keeping on! Often my little son forgets that he is watching the movie as he gets distracted by other happenings in the house, and leaves the vcr running. Many many times this little vcr has played and played and then automatically rewound the tape at the end of the movie. This vcr came with a very easy to use remote, and my now 4 year old can use his remote to change channels and to turn the unit on and off. I hope that there is still many years of life in this little vcr, but it certainly has had a good workout so far and has held up wonderfully.
Anyone wanting a steal of a bargain should purchase this unit. And certainly anyone wanting an extra vcr just for the kids or for the in-laws, or for the extra room should consider this Philips VCR.
