Pros: Good battery life, Small compact size
Cons: Poor sound quality, flimsy remote, Synchro recording has something to be desired
The Bottom Line: If it's for usage on your morning commute, I would recommend, however there are definitely better units to be sought for the same price.

| lensephlare's Full Review: Aiwa AM-F70 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I recently purchased this unit for the price of 250 dollars (american) and I found it completely satisfactory for about the first month or so. I have had it in my possession for about six months now, and it has been replaced by a sony MZR-90, a unit which I find much more usable as well as made to a much higher standard.
This was my first minidisc purchased, and after doing lots of research, I made the conclusion that this is quite possibly one of the best minidisc players/recorders out on the market for portable audio usage. I found the first two months or so, were perfect for this unit-it fit nicely in my pocket, and the remote was a nice addition to the unit.
However, after a lot of usage, the unit began to definitely show signs of wear. It's not like I was running over it with my car, but I would run with it every day on my jog, etc, and it began to show effects of this treatment. Right now, after about six months of usage, it fails to read or record oa minidisc, and in all honesty, I am rather upset that Aiwa would show this kind of lack of quality.
