Ah yes, the Sharp-702 player. This player may not be the best player out there due to the fact that it is more bulky and heavier than the newer models. However, all of the necessities of an Mini Disc Player are found in it.
It features:
Front Loading Mechanism with Auto Play--(Some mini-disc players and recorders use a door that opens and the mini disc is inserted. This is a somewhat simpler mechanism where a mini disc is inserted.)
Extended Life Lithium Ion Battery with AC
Adaptor/Recharger (6.5-Hours Playback/4.5-Hours Record)--(Newer players have longer hours)
Sound Synchronized Recording System--(This comes in very handy so that time is not wasted recording nothing.)
Optical Digital Input (Digital Quality Sound is better than CD-quality)
3 Mode X-Bass System (Bass booster is good)
Illuminated Full Function LCD Remote Control (This is good for using it in the dark)
Character Stamp (Makes it easy to copy titling information from one MiniDisc to another. Saves time by allowing super-fast transfer of text information)
Overall, this is a pretty good mini-disc player/recorder. The only bad things are the shorter battery time. In the newer players/recorders, the battery time is up-ed to about 8 hours or so. Also, you cannot make track names while it is playing which is featured on the newer models as well as using it while the battery charges. It is a very good device for its price. If you want to go for a cheaper model that still is pretty good. This one is for you.
