Pros: Feature loaded, good price, good looks!
Cons: Larger than other portable MD recorders.
The Bottom Line: Great price, very functional, an eye catcher. MD is a very useful tool for the busy student and this particular unit meets all my requirements without breaking my bank.

I have used this product with a small microphone to record lectures for five semesters. It has been an indispensable tool for me. As a student who also works full time this gadget has saved my GPA by allowing me to study on the run. I can listen to high-quality recorded lectures while I clean the house, get dressed, drive...
After I bought this product I no longer had to deal with tape hiss, or having to flip a cassette in the middle of a long lecture or a speech.
This unit has large, easy to use buttons and a jog dial that makes naming tracks easy. The jog dial is a feature unique to this model.
MDs are loaded through a slot, as opposed to clam-shell models. This is advantageous because there is no worry about the lid breaking. It will be more difficult to fix if something gets stuck inside but after over three years of use, this hasn't happened.
This unit comes with a really nice remote and head phones so it is a great bargain.
The design is very attractive and draws a lot of attention.
I have also used it to record streaming Internet audio and clips from the radio. I can take the disk to a music store and play it for the clerk making it much easier for me to find what I want without having to try to sing the song myself if I do not know the artist. If you are serious about Internet audio recording you may want to consider a Net-MD capable unit if you can afford one. Even though newer units are smaller and have more features, this model is still sought after because of the jog and the attractiveness.
