| dkgamez's Full Review: Sharp MD-MT821 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I have a massive Mp3 collection that up until now could only be played through my computer (a HP with cheap speakers). I wanted to listen to my mp3s while away from my computer so I decided upon MD over MP3 players because right now mp3 players are expensive and offer about 64mb. With MD, all you have to do is get another minidisc which cost very little.
I've had this Sharp for about a couple of days now and I am amazed. I wonder now why i waited so long to buy it. The Sharp has just about every single feature you would need. Another great thing about it is that it's so small. It's a little bigger than a minidisc and about 2 minidisc stacked together thick. The remote control is like none other that I seen before.
A very cool thing about MD is that you can put in the names of songs of each track. This is great so that while playing a song the title scrolls on the MD player and on the remote control. However, my only complaint is inputting the titles. You have to enter it either using the remote control or a slide button on the MD player. Both are a pain to use especially with long titles. It takes me about a minute to enter a title which totals to about 15 mins per minidisc to have the entire thing labeled. Other than that, I love this MD player. Anyone in the market for a portable music player should strongly look at the Sharp MD. I would suggest you skip over MP3 players for now and spend about $200 on a decent MD.
