This Sharp product surprised me. The quality and sound on the unit are incredible. It's portable. I produce hip-hop music and the Sharp does wonders for me. Say I want to sample something I hear on TV in a movie. I simply hook into the audio RCA's on the television, and record onto the disc. From there, the digital quality minidisc goes straight into the sampler, losing little if no quality. I also have used it for live performances as well. Simply use the minidisc in place of a DAT. If doing hip-hop, then plug the RCA out into the Line in on the turntable mixer. The ease of the product is amazing as well. You can label and title each song on the disc, and most can hold up to 74 minutes, which is the standard length of a CD. I've noticed a host of DJ's using them at my shows, DJ Vadim and DJ Shadow are two prominent users. The thing never ever skips. There is nothing bad to say about this product. Get it if you can afford it. It blows away the competition.
