I bought this product because my portable CD player broke, and I wanted to stay current! I have never been happier--the product met all my expectations and exceeded in some aspects.
The small discs you insert into the player/recorder don't skip, which make for great jogging companions, or, for those of us that are less athletically inclined. . . wonderful additions to our car audio. Simply slip in the same cassette you would use to operate a CD player in your auto's cassette player, and you're ready to go!
The sound is amazing, and rivals some of the more expensive units. The LCD screen boasts alphanumeric messaging, which allows you to program titles of songs and CD's. There is a remote control located on the cord of the headset for ease of use without taking the unit out of your pocket.
It is easy to record music onto the Mini-Discs from your stereo or computer. The instruction manual is easy to read, and answered all my questions.
This unit has all the functions of the more expensive products, without the extra bonuses. If you have extra cash, maybe splurge for the more expensive MZ-R50 or MZ-R90 if extras are a must. One example is the LCD screen that the MZ-R50 has on its remote that the 70 does not.
I recommend this product to anyone that enjoys music technology.
