Cons: A bit big compared to newer units
The Bottom Line: You can't beat it for quality. This unit is the reason people use the phrase "They don't make 'em like this anymore".

| escher2's Full Review: Sony Walkman MZ-R30 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I picked up this little baby in '98 (can't exactly remember when, it was not cheap back then) and it has never given me a problem. I have put THOUSANDS of songs through it, both recording and playback. I have probably listened to a couple thousand hours of music on it without even a hiccup, the original Lithium Ion battery still holds a great charge. I frequently use it to record my drumset practice sessions, not to mention impromptu cd's I borrow from friends at work. I can't say enough good things about this unit. It travels with me to and from work and buisness trips frequently.
You can get one used on ebay dirt cheap. Don't hesitate!! I just found a site that carries replacement Lithium Ion batteries for it, so mine will continue to live for quite a while I hope.
