| tiggergreen's Full Review: Sony Walkman MZ-R30 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I bought this product because of Sony's name. I bought it from Good Guys and immediately recorded some songs using my wife's portable CD player. The recording was very good - I couldn't tell the difference from the original. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the remote control had a tiny non-standard input for headphones. I wanted to use my VR-600 headphones but couldn't use the remote. I ended up ordering an adapter so that I could use the remote. I think Sony should have provided the adapter in the box. It has an optical in so that you can record from any source that has a digital out - cd players, AC-3 Satellite systems, etc. I also purchased a custom belt pouch from Argentina - it was a great accessory. I DJ dances - I used to drag a whole bunch of equipment - now I just take the MZ-R30, an amplifier and some speakers. I even record the songs I'm going to play on MiniDisc. This is a full featured product that is well worth the money.
