After thinking long and hard about the MP3 v CDR v MD debate I plumped for the Sony MD recorder - and it is excellent. I love the smaller than pocket size, long battery life and great looks. The recording quality - especially from a digital source, is first rate. I'll admit to being a big Sony fan - and it's because of little gems like this. By the way if you are travelling via Schiphol airport in the near future they had these on special offer for only NFl 575 (that's about USD 275) as opposed to the street price here in sunny Holland of NFl 800. That special price tipped the scales on my purchasing decision - but if I'd realised just how good the box was I'd be happy paying the full price. If you want a compact recording device this is a super choice.
