| cityscapex5's Full Review: Rio PMP-500 (64 MB) MP3 Player |
Ive used the Diamond Rio at the Gym and while running. It is a great machine and a very good value overall. Headphones make a very big difference. The standard ones included are uncomfortable (ear buds) and dont play as loudly as others (I would reccomened Sony Sports)so you have to add the cost of new headphones. On the plus side it includes a very nice padded Case that will protect the player when its used for active pursuits. The included software is not the best but once you get the hang of it, it is simple to load songs onto the player. The player itself is very cool looking with a nice blue backlighting and scrolling LCD. The expandability via a 64MB SmartMedia card gives you room to grow, though i find that the standard memory is enough for me. The software is upgradeable to support sizes above 64 MB when they become available.
