Cablevision or a Joke?

After three years of waiting and calling the 800 cable phone number advertised, Cablevision finally started service in our area. With the choice of bad reception or paying for cable, we quickly opted for Cablevision's services. I believe it was a big mistake.
The "packages" ranged anywhere from $34-60 per month. Since we subscribed, it has gone up to at least $40. This only is for "basic" cable, which does not include channels like Disney or any movie stations. We dropped the "premium" package the first time prices rose and opted for the "basic" package.
Add to this the horrendous customer service. If the billing department makes a mistake, your cable service will be cut off until several attempts to correct it. This happened in our case when we changed apartments in the same building. After several calls, we were finally credited for the payments we made. No apologies for the error on Cablevision's behalf either.
The only other service we can get for decent reception is DSS. Since we rent and don't intend to stay here for a long time, having it installed is not an option. If given the choice, I would choose anything BUT Cablevision.
