Pros: Good treatment when you pay on time.
Cons: Be late with your payment and apparently you open yourself up for verbal abuse.
The Bottom Line: You probably can't avoid Comcast as they are most likely the only provider in your area. We must keep complaining about the customer service. They are abusive.

I just want folks to know how horribly I was treated by Comcast's Customer Service department. If you order alot of pay channels they treat you as if you are special, but if you get behind on your bill, they feel that they are allowed to tell you that you have more cable service than you can afford. The woman even went so far as to tell me that they weren't a "credit card" and DON"T make payment arrangements.
I explained to the woman that I had been in the hospital 3 times within the past 60 days. She didn't care. She went so far as to tell that if I didn't like the way she was speaking to me I could just pay my bill in full and then she'd be nicer to me! Since when is customer service about deciding who you will treat nicely and who you will drive to tears on the telephone?? She had me in tears and said that perhaps next time I wouldn't let my bill get behind and then I wouldn't be in this situation.
Just so you know, her name was LEE ADAMS. She said go ahead and call back, that she is a supervisor and can speak to me in whatever tone she wants and even if I complain to someone else about her it won't matter. It's pretty brazen if you ask me to say go ahead and report her and nothing will happen, she must be married to the owner of Comcast to have that much confidence. No one else would be that confident to think they can do and say whatever they want.
I bet if there were more cable TV companies in town they wouldn't be able to treat people so rudely. I hope more companies pop up out there and take some power away from these big companies. They need to realize that even someone who paid their bill late is a human being and deserves to be spoken to with respect.
