Avoid this company completely. Go satellite if you have to. Nothing but charge after charge, I would have a problem with that if the service and products they provide were worth the money.
$98.95 per month for basic cable and high speed internet.(Portland Oregon)
$99.00 for a single computer install in a pre-wired home or apartment.
$149.00 for a install in a home not wired.
I can see paying over a hundred dollars to wire up a home if it never had cable, but to pay $100 for a cable installer to spend 20 minutes hooking up your TV to a wall outlet is completely ludicris!!! What a bunch of crooks.
I currently have Charter Communications basic cable with high speed internet and it runs me $56 per month(Brookings, OR) The service is good and they respond quickly when I call for assistance. The installation charge was $39.95 and the installer was in and out in 25 minutes.
Comcast service is even spotty at best. In six months of service I had to call customer support 27 times (all documented) about outages and VERY SLOW internet speeds.
They claim 12 megabytes per second and at most I was sending and recieving at half that speed and below. I day trade on the stock market and I need the high speed for streaming level 2 stock tickers and many times the tickers would come to a halt. Comcast phone support people would even admit to me that they were receiving lots of service calls about poor performance and low speeds.
Avoid Comcast they are not worth the rates they charge, not even close!
