"hidden charges"!!!! I scheduled cable and internet installation and was VERY clear when I stated that I needed a WIRELESS modem since I only have a laptop computer. The lady on the other end repeated it back to me so I know she understood. She did not tell me that there was a $49.95 additional charge for wireless. The man came for the install and was standing in my living room and I really had no choice but to agree once he got to my house. I called customer service and spoke to a manager and he too stated that I had to pay the charge even though the lady that scheduled my install said absolutely nothing about it. On top of this the installer came to my house with a standard cable box-which I chose because she clearly stated that the standard box had no advantage over the HD box. After the install I could only receive local standard channels....all other ones required "HD" receivers! Soooo I went MYSELF to a comcast location and swapped the standard box for a HD box, went home and installed it myself and then I was able to watch the other channels. The cable box exchange did not cost me any money-only time-still an inconvenience, and an additional $8.95 added to my monthly bill that I was not told up front, but I felt obligated to agree to it because otherwise I would not have any channels other than the local networks....I also don't have ALL the HD channels that the lady stated I would have. I can get them-however it would require me to upgrade my monthly package-again the lady I spoke with originally said absolutely nothing about all of this.
