The converter box for Comcast cable is very difficult to program. This makes taping multiple programs while not home almost impossible. You can't program with just your VCR, because that has to be set to channel 4 or channel 3 all the time. Comcast refuses to offer service that by-passes the cable converter box, though other companies in this area offer server their companies this way. We cannot choose our cable provider where we live, though. It is Comcast or no one. It would help if Comcast provided instructions for programing their converter box with their installation, but they do not. They provide only very basic hook-up instructions plus pages of advertisements for their other services including digital cable and high-speed internet service.
