Pros: The Digital TV reception is pretty good.
Cons: Everything else with this company. Turn and run.
The Bottom Line: Digital TV is worth looking into. Find any other option of high speed BB before settling with Insight BB.

| punisher187's Full Review: Insight |
I've had Insight for over a year now and still do not receive the "family pack" channels. (only basic, while being charged extra per month) I've called their less-than-competent Customer Service to no avail. They tell me that they're working on it and even one time suggested I do have the channels but do not know how to operate the remote. I assured the service rep. that an A+ certified PC technician, such as myself, has no trouble with such trivial things and I could have her job, but just want my pay-for channels. (Fees for receiving only basic channels priced at $7.95/mo. : $34.95/mo)
The broadband modem is quite inadequate. Since Insight has been the only provider in my area, $50 a month is what I pay for futility. Low bandwidth capped at about 500 kbps and cannot support 2+ IP's (hub) is useless to me. SBC is soon coming to my area with DSL with dl range of 768k - 1.5m including a HALF-OFF wireless router, with FREE installation if I do it myself for how much? That's right $36.75 a month!!! Free installation? That's unheard of from Insight. I've seen trained monkeys perform better than the 'technician' forced to come to my house and watch ME install the cable while he tried to read his instructions and then agreed that I did it right. I still had to pay $70 for JUST INSTALLATION, (plus $150 for modem and cable) or they wouldn't activate the modem. (they refused my requests of self-installation) That's repulsive.
Since it's this or Satellite in a windy/snowy area, I'll tough it out with the digital channels. The performance is good. As for cable, check any other option. If it came down to my current options, in my begrudged opinion, Cable is better than any dial-up. (Albeit, I haven't even used dial-up for phone calls in almost 2 years!)
