Pros: I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about this company.
Cons: Where do I begin?? Read on...
The Bottom Line: Customer service at Media One leaves much to be desired. If they weren't the only provider in the area, we would be using another company.

| dannyzmom's Full Review: MediaOne |
Dealing with Media One was enough to make us want to throw all of our television sets in the local canal.
Four weeks before moving into our house, we called the local cable company (Media One) to make sure our cable TV would be set up by the time we moved in. They did not show up for the first two appointments they set up. Each time they failed to show up at the appointed time, I would call the company, wait on hold (for 45 minutes one time) just to be told that they would look into it and get back to me. When they would finally call back, they would tell me, "He's on his way." This would go on throughout the day, until finally and 6:00pm, they would give up and reschedule.
After several no-shows and re-scheduled appointments, they finally showed up an set up our cable TV...three weeks after we moved into the house...seven weeks after my initial call to them.
The service technician set up the cable system and spent about five minutes explaining to me how to use it. There were cable boxes on some TV sets, special remotes to be used with others. If we wanted to watch HBO we needed to use one remote and watch only in the living-room...TLC and Lifetime required using the cable-box and could only be viewed in the bedroom. This was the most disorganized and confusing cable system I have ever encountered. And if there is even a threat of a rainstorm...cable goes out for several hours.
Billing...now let's talk about billing...we never received our first two bills. When I called Media One to inquire about our missing bills, the first Customer Service Representative I spoke with told me it was their mistake and they would correct it. The next representative that came on the line told me that it was my responsibility to know how much and how often to pay them whether I received a bill or not...and that I would be charged late fees.
We have had nothing but lousy experiences with Media One. From the service to the billing. Unfortunately they are the only cable available in our area. Anyone want to sell me a satellite dish??
