Latrobe, Pennsylvania is proud home to many things. The first professional football game, the roller coaster and the banana split but there may be no finer product that hails from Latrobe then Rolling Rock beer.
Over the last twenty odd years this beer has grown from local favorite to a world wide marquee. I used to kick the 7 oz. cans around when I was a kid and was pleasantly surprised when I saw Rolling Rock being served over at an American bar in the suburbs of London. This truly, smooth beer is quite palatable.
The "33" mystery is an oversight from the artist who originally designed the front for the emerald green bottles. The "33" stands for the number of letters in the copy on the front of the bottle and he forgot to remove the number. Hence, his mistake became legend and lore in the rustic, little town of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. A great place to scope out on a Sunday drive. Grab yourself a green bottle, tilt it back and enjoy a Pennsylvania staple right in your mouth.
