Pros:Characters, Broderick, Feel-Good factor, and pretty much everything else

Cons:Cannot think of anything

The Bottom Line: Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a movie that everyone has to see at least a few times in their lifetime.

Ferris Bueller's day off is one of the greatest comedy movies of all time, and arguebly my favorite movie of all time. It is one of the great high-school movie classics from the 1980's, before I was even born, by director John Huges.

The Plot
Ferris Bueller, played by Mathew Broderick, is looking to have one last hurrah before he graduates from high school. We first find Ferris in bed appearing to be sick. He is easily able to fool his parents into letting him stay home from school. As soon as his parents leave he Ferris goes into a meadly of various activities. At the same time he is trying to convince his buddy Camaron, who is already home sick, to come over. Ferris is of course able to do this and then focuses on trying get his girlfriend out of school. In order to do this he needs a fancy car, a Fararrei to be exact. Once Ferris gets them all out of school he takes them on the adventure of their lives. They spend the day in downtown Chicago with various activities such as going to a fancy restaurant, going to a baseball game, and even participating in a parade. At this time two people are ploting to catch Farris in the act. His sister Jeanie, played by Jennifer Grey, and of course the infamous Dean of Students Ed Rooney. Neither of them can stand Ferris and they each go on thier own adventures, this includes a surprise encounter between the two of them. At the end of the day Ferris trys to help Camaron with his self-esteem issues after the car accidently gets destroyed. Then Ferris has the ultimate test of his endurance, the race to get back before his parents. All in all Ferris is able to make it back home in the nick-of-time without his parents ever knowing he was gone, but not without a surprise encounter with Rooney first. Don't worry he gets some unexpected help that prevents him from getting "busted".

My thoughts
This is an amazing movie with lots of humor and heart. Much of the comedy is laugh-out-loud funny which keeps you coming back for more. It is very easy to watch because the plot isn't too heavy. The movie does have a plot but it is a rather light plot. The characters are very relatable, especially if you're in that high school/college stage. It has great actors with a few iconic figures, Mathew Broderick, Jennifer Grey, and Charlie Sheen who plays the bad boy that Jeanie meats at the police station. I also love that the movie isn't entirly about love, which prevents it from getting too cheesy. While Ferris does have a girlfriend there is much more to the movie than just their relationship. The sights from the movie are amazing. Ferris Bueller's Day Off gives you a virtual tour of Chicago without ever having to leave your couch. Ferris Bueller's day off is one of those movies that everyone has to have in their DVD collection.

Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a tricky but harmless fast-talker. But he knows how to have fun, which is exactly what he sets out to do when he...
