The Bottom Line: I don't suggest this card to anyone mostly because of its poor customer service department.

The one thing smart about this card is that they contact college students asking them to join. This not only helps college students build their credit but also offers them a pretty good credit limit. The card comes with no annual fee, and a low introductory APR rate. Another plus is that a percentage spent on your credit card will transfer over to your calling card. This way college students will be able to call long distances for free as a bonus of using their credit card.
One thing I have to say that I am disappointed with is their customer service. My card was in good standing, being paid off monthly until I had recently moved houses. When I had returned my next statement I had put my change of address in with this company, however they did not change my address right away.
All of my other bills were being paid off regularly because of the convenience of the internet. On this card however, they did not provide any internet services, which made it hard for me to pay my bills monthly. They would continue sending my statements to the old address so by the time it was forwarded to my new address, payment was almost due! Therefore I began to make late payments.
A late payment fee is a penalty of $29. Since they kept sending my statements to the wrong address, I continuously received my bill late every month. When I had called them up to ask if they could change my due date, they refused. I had told them the problem and they vouched they would correct the address. This happened to me eight months in a row until they finally corrected the address.
I am truly disappointed because this was an error on their behalf. I don't think that they were checking the back of the returned portion of my statement which had my change of address. I also recall that at this time they were switching over from GTE to Verizon. Therefore this wasn't my fault however I was still forced to pay the $240 in late payment fees.
Another problem which occurred was that they had a typo in my social security number. Therefore I couldn't even have the convenience of over the phone service. I always had to wait on the line for minutes until I was able to speak to one of their rude customer service people.
