HRS USA SUCKS!!!

Pros:I like shopping at Best Buy
Cons:You're better off using any other credit card, even if you have to pay interest!
The Bottom Line: Avoid the card at all cost, its cheaper to charge a purchase to your regular credit card and pay interest, than risk dealing with HRS USA

I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for years. Last winter I was lured into buying a $700 digital camera when Best Buy was offering 18 months interest free financing. Everything seemed fine at first until two months ago. I have a spotless credit record and have NEVER had a single late payment on anything in my entire life! I always mailed my payment within a week of receiving the bill, even though the due date was usually 3-4 weeks later. My last payment was due November 26, and I mailed it on November 4th, but when my bill arrived, the payment was not posted and I had a $29 late charge (which is more than I would have paid in interest if I charged the purchase to my Visa). I initially blamed the post office, even though I've never had anything lost in the mail before. After a little research on the web, I come to find out that this is a very common occurrence with hundreds of HRS USA customers!!! Unfortunately this means I will be canceling my Best Buy Card as soon as it is paid off, and will never use Best Buy financing again. I'll just have to shop at other stores that offer financing deals. Although this isn't Best Buy's fault directly, they are guilty by association and it reflects poorly upon their company. I was not shy about telling them that they would likely loose a long-time customer because of their crappy credit card issuer.
