Pros: Easy to get accepted
Cons: Default APR 29.49%, increases APR for no reason if you are near credit line limit
The Bottom Line: AVOID L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America). L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)is very misleading. Read the fine print: L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)does change rates to 29.49% just because they can.

| holli1's Full Review: L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America) |
L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America) is one of the worst credit card companies out there. The following is my personal experience with L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America), and hopefully, this review will help to save someone else the same horrible nightmare that L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America) has put me through. I took out this card because L.L.Bean clothing company is such a nice quality company. Although, L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)is not the same nice quality company that bears part of the same name- L.L.Bean. I have had L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)since 1997. In the beginning, L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)seemed nice with what was supposed to be a low fixed rate. Over the years and after accepting what appeared to be good offers such as cash advances with low to zero APR, etc., my balance began to reach it's credit limit. After my account was very close to my credit limit is when L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)started to be very dirty. First, they increased my APR several times in a rapid order: from an APR of 9.9% fixed to ending with 29.49% variable. When L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)first increased my APR, I called them to request a lower APR. Each time I called to request a lower rate, L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)would increase my APR. Evenually, the increased APR put my account over the limit by about $20 that put me in serious default with an overlimit fee of $39 and the extremely high interest on my account. I cannot wait until I am rid of L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)forever. When I called L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)again, this is the final advice I received from one of the managers: The L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)manager told me that I SHOULD FIND ANOTHER CARD WITH A LOWER APR AS MY L.L.Bean Visa (MBNA America)APR WAS TOO HIGH AND HE RECOMMENDED SHOPPING AROUND AS A CONSUMER TO FIND A BETTER CARD. The above statement is what I would like to leave as my final word to you to BEWARE of L.L.Bean Visa(MBNA America)and to shop around to find another card with a more honest company rather than this one.
