I have had my Citibank Platinum card for over a year now and I have always been pleased with their customer service and they post your payments on time and really don't call you very often about "special Clubs" to join. When I came across the AAdvantage card series from Citibank I figured I would give this card a shot.
The AAdvantage card earns you frequent flyer miles, you receive 3000 with your first purchase and after you initial purchase you can earn 1 mile for every dollar you spend. You can receive 60,000 per year using this card. Of course I have never flown, but now I think I may have to!
Actually the credit qualifications for the card seem to appear to be somewhat easy to qualify for, I have known many people with a blemish or two receiving this card. Their credit limits on average seem to range anywhere from 2,500 to 9,000. The only major flaws with this card are an annual fee of 50.00 per year and the interest rates is 19.4%, the interest rate for the cash advances in also the same. They have a late fee of 29.00 and which is the same amount for over the limit fee.
You can access your account 24 hours a day through their automated telephone system and you can also access your account online, there is also the option to pay your monthly bills online as well.
But from other reward programs out there that I have seen, I feel that this frequent flyer rewards program may be worth the annual fee. After your first purchase you will then see you mileage totals on your statements every month.
So far I have been pleased with their customer service and I like to have the ability to access my account anytime day or night right online. this card seems to be a keeper for me, as for their rates it would be best to pay your balances off every month and avoid this, which I know is easier said than done at times, But overall I recommend the AAdvantage card from Citibank for anyone that travels.
