| yolers's Full Review: Aspire Visa Gold |
When I received the pre-approved application for this gold card I was excited. I mean being young and all...it's cool that I was pre-approved for a GOLD card. So I got it. I mean no Annual Fee, no APR for the first 6 months, and I'll get a high credit line (to buy what..I still don't know :)). But anyways, it was helpful at first especially paying for my college tuition, but then the credit card company started to tick me off.
Day after day, all I got were calls from aspire visa asking me to sign up for something...finally I just hung up after I heard "Hi I'm calling from Aspire..." *click* Plus, somehow I got signed up for some connections company that was $99.95 a year. WHAT!? I don't want this..so i had to go through the cancellations and everything.
Then, after looking over my bills I realized that my APR was 20.25%..whoa...that's pretty darn high if you ask me. I have credit cards with much lower APR's. So I decided to do away with the aspire card. Sure, it helped me alot in establishing my credit, but I would've rather done it without the phone calls that came everyday at least twice a day.
