I did not choose Capital One Bank. They chose me. I have bad credit because of my husband I am separated from. He threatened and begged me to use credit cards to get expensive things he wanted, to repair his motorcycle he had when we first got together, and to take him to expensive places to eat. We charged like crazy, using cards in my name. Heck, we even got new ones in my name when credit limits on those were maxed. Needless to say he got fired from his job and I got laid-off. Well, he didn't care none about helping me take care of the problem. We are not together anymore and I wanted to fix my credit. No other bank wanted to help.
Capital One sent me a letter stating that they bought out the old credit debt I had had with Radio Shack. They were offering to issue me a credit card and put that credit on that account. That way I could pay it off and start fixing my credit. I accepted.
I am glad I did. They gave me that credit card plus I applied for another one. I have two accounts with them, now. They gave me hope when I didn't have any.
Thanks to Capital One, I have a new start to fixing my credit and getting my life back on track.
