Pros: Snazzy "free" gifts and easy to get (on a campus)
Cons: High APR, horrible customer service, and wrongful billing.
The Bottom Line: Citibank: Avoid it like the plague.

| irishgurl1979's Full Review: Citibank |
Citibank lulls college students with interesting, "free" gifts. Such as free t-shirts and candy.
What they don't tell you is the high APR on charged goods and services. I signed up with Citibank, as my first credit card. I needed to use my charge card for trips home and books, each semester. I would always pay my bill on time. Until...Citibank changed my due date and DIDN'T NOTIFY ME. Four months went by, I thought I was paying my bill on time. I had the cashed checks from my bank to prove it. When I discovered this and called customer service, I never had such a rude person on the phone. The woman acted like I was a thief out to "steal right out of her purse". She made me feel like a horrible person. When I asked for her name, she said she had to call me back.
I finally put my balance on another charge card. I pay my bill on time. The customer service is friendly. Citibank stinks.
