Pros: it's a credit card they'll give to almost anyone
Cons: just don't get in the position where you have to speak with them

| loki3's Full Review: Citibank |
Citibank, just like any other bank, is in the business for profits. However, the most publicly approved banking institutions are those who take an active role in seducing their potential and current customers. That is the way the game is played, and to be honest, even though I am not a customer of Citibank, I am not feeling any love here...this is why.
I have a close friend who was the unfortunate recipient of a Citibank Visa credit card. At first, it was love...true romance. They would front the bill and my friend would pay them bank religiously. As time progressed, this friend of became late once on the payment. Then was late again a while later. Now, since I am in the banking industry, I know first hand that people can be late. Things happen and no one is immune. This is why I believe when instances like this occur, the behavior and practices of the bank is the true test of a good company and financial institution.
The personnel with Citibank were not only rude but harassing. They would call 3 to 6 times a day when arrangement for paying were already made. They have no communication between their different departments and argue when your information and theirs differs. I had the misfortune of answering the phone when they called once. They were so unprofessional that I had vowed never to do business in any capacity with them again, and seriously think that if it wasn't for their thorough marketing they wouldn't have any customers.
Of course, others may say that if you miss a payment you may well deserve to be harassed at 7 am on a Sunday morning. I know however, that there are plenty of other banks who will treat you with more respect and understanding.
