First of all, I am finally recovering from very very bad credit. My husband has & has always had great credit. I hated having to combine our credit for our mortgage, but it was a great learning experience. We got our mortgage with no problem, and he has taught me to be responsible with my credit.
I still found it hard to obtain cards with low rates & high credit amounts, but then came Citibank! I finally got an envelope with the words "You are pre-approved" not pre-qualified! I was so excited. Not for the fact of having credit, but just for the fact that I was offered it.. It's always my husband. So I opened the envelope expecting a really high rate & low credit amount, but to my shock & disbelief.... it was 3.9 on balance transfers for a full year & a $12,000 limit!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!! We needed to transfer to a lower rate because the period on my husband's 3.9 rate was ending. So we did & they have been great. I have done transfers over the phone with unbelievable ease & the customer service is outstanding. The automated balance inquiry is also outstanding.. I only have good things to say about this card & I hope when my introductory rate comes to an end in May, I hope they offer me another one! I would not want to close this account. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone!!!!!
