I've been a Citibank customer for 4 years now, and have always received excellent service from them. I started off with a standard car, and now have a Platinum, which comes with a few more features, like added travel insurance. I always used to pay my balance off in full each month, but I was carrying a balance on my other credit card. When I had moved my balance from Citibank to another card, Citibank asked me why I was moving the funds, and I told him the rate was too high.
Last week, Citibank sent me a postcard asking me to call them for a new low APR on my card. I called, and they are now giving my 3.9% for the next 12 months! This is great, because now I can pay off my bills without drowning in the interest payments.
Citibank wants to keep its customers. I have called other companies whose credit cards I own and they are not willing to offer lower rates to good clients. when I tell them I am considering closing my account, they say "Thank you for your business. We are sorry to see you go." Citibank goes out of its way to try and keep their customers happy.
