About three years ago Kroger came out with mastercard with their name on it and you got back a certain percentage of what you bought. My husband and I received this card, used it and loved it.
Then comes in Fifth Third Bank! They take over the card, change the RULES and basically all you have is your basic credit card. Well we didn't owe a balance on it so they RAISED the interest rate. I called them and asked why and I was given some nonsense story and I mean it was absolute nonsense.
So we once again decided to use it. I then called and asked for a lower rate since we were using it now and they agreed. So a year goes by and no problems until I ask them to move the date up so I could make all payments on one certain date. Well I get one bill on a Monday and another bill on a Friday and this bill says I'm late and I have a $29 late fee. So I call and wait on the line for 30 minutes , get one idiot, don't like her answer and I call and at least get one with SOME brains. She tells e no I'm not late , they will take the charge off and to pay the last bill. Good thing I got her name because the next month took 3 hours and 4 people to get it fixed. But I cancelled with the first person and do you know I was never ever offered to keep it and we have excellent credit. So if you are offered a card from them-burn it!!
