Pros: Easy to obtain.
Cons: Poor customer service. High interest rate. Ridiculous fees. Malfunctioning web site.
The Bottom Line: Avoid it at all costs -- unless, of course, you're a financial masochist.

| dwhood's Full Review: First PREMIER Bank Visa |
NOTE: The purpose of this review is to provide a brief warning about some poor and questionable business practices. It is not exhaustive by any means.
Hopefully, you'll find it helpful.
I'll make this short. I obtained a couple of First Premier cards (Visa and MC) for the express purpose of having some extra resources available before buying a house/condo.
The cards were easy to qualify for and obtain, but boyyyy was I sorry that I took this road. The fees charged were very high and excessive. When I generated payments via the web site, they didn't always post. As a result, I would receive calls from their representatives and we would just end up in a dispute about how undependable their web site was. Every time I took care of the account and thought I was all set, I would receive another phone call a few days later asking me for more money.
Enough was enough. We obtained a 2nd mortgage and made sure to pay off the First Premier accounts. I've never been happier to get rid of an account in my entire life.
Well, actually, when I got rid of the incompetence of the Bank One folks, I felt pretty good too. I paid that account off and received a bill that had a balance of "zero" and was charged an overlimit fee. That had to have been the most ludicrous thing I've ever seen in the world of billing.
Anyway, hope this helps. Now, repeat after me -- I SHOULD NOT GET A FIRST PREMIER CREDIT CARD!!!
Very good! Now, follow through. :-)
