First USA is a scam

The Bottom Line: They reject great credit customers without real explanation. Avoid like the plague.

First, let me say that I have excellent credit, consistently returning a credit score of 720 or above on my own accounts. I received a "guaranteed credit" letter in the mail, saying that I was eligible for 0% financing on my credit account. So I decided to use it and transfer my other bank account credit. I called them up and they took the information over the phone.

Four weeks later, I received a rejection letter with the reason "Amount and utilization of bankcard credit". This is the lamest reason I have ever heard. I have less than 25% utilization of my credit accounts. I called up the bank and requested more information, and they just repeated that I should look at the letter.

I WOULD NOT even apply to them ever again. They have now lost my business forever.
