Pros: Good *introductory* rate on balance transfers
Cons: Manipulative sales calls, manipulative business practices -
The Bottom Line: Don't get this card unless you are desperate for low introductory interest. I found MNBA to be very manipulative and not worth the hassles.

I got an MNBA Preferred MasterCard card to do a balance transfer on a high-interest overdraft balance I had on my bank account. Things were great for several months until they jacked up the interest to almost 18% APR without any notice, which is not required but would be nice.
I had several calls from MNBA reps TELLING me about new "added value features" being added to my card, for "balance protection" and other such costly "features" that only irresponsible people need. These "features" were not presented as *options*, but rather I was being *told* that they were being added. Of course, I still told them I did not want these "features", and my request was obliged, though it didn't stop them from trying this trick again. I am sure they catch many people with such manipulative approaches.
The last straw was on my most recent bill, which should have been paid off *fully*, because I fully paid off the previous bill due to the interest hike. Even so, on the next/recent bill I had a balance of 11.07$ from interest! I did not want to have to deal with anymore payments or further interest charges, which is why I fully paid off the previous bill. I called their support line, which is one of the few positives here, because at least their customer service staff is courteous and clear. This balance was explained to me as a "service to customers" - they don't put the upcoming interest on the current bill. I have not had any credit cards which work in this manner. I see this as yet another manipulative trick to sucker people into paying more attention to MNBA's wares than they have to, and keeping their hooks in you. I told the MNBA rep to immediately cancel my card, and made my final payment.
