I signed up for this card about two months ago. I was hoping for an exclusive-level card, which is what their flyer promised. Well, I'm sorry to report this card isn't it.
Don't get me wrong, it's an OK credit card, no annual, over-the-limit, late, or atm fees... but for a card with a max of $250,000 (I only got a tenth of that BTW), I'm guessing most customers aren't late or over their limits anyway.
What I'm really looking for in an exclusive credit card goes beyond just a low interest rate and lack of fees, I'm looking for exclusive "perks". For example, free or reduced memberships in frequent traveler programs (United Premier status, Hertz Gold Premium, etc)...
Two cards I'm considering are the AMEX Platinum (though the reviews here have steered me away) and the Diners Club Carte Blanc. If you have any experience with the latter, I'd love to know what you think of it.
The other thing that really bothers me about the Quantum card is the marketing plow. All their mailings talk about how exclusive the card is, how I should feel honored to be invited to apply, blah blah blah. Unfortunately, they haven't backed up their claims with any REAL benefits.
One other thing. Their website has one great feature: it updates information realtime, so if you go out to lunch, the charge shows up within an hour or so. Unfortunately, it takes about 7 clicks to finally view your account, and by then your browser has opened up three different windows. They really need to start over with their website and make it more integrated, straight-forward, content driven site.
Overall, if all your looking for is a credit card with a high credit limit and very few fees, this is a fine card. But if you've got a good credit history and are looking for a card that really rewards it's holders, look elsewhere (and if you find the card, let me know!)
