| IleneG's Full Review: Aria Visa Card (Providian Bank) |
I started with Providian a few years ago with one of those build your credits, you will automatically be approved for a credit line no matter what just pay this amount. I thought oh what the heck, I had been in a bad car wreck in 1993 and ended up losing most of my credit cards and ruining my credit rating from the entire process of getting better. I figured what would be the harm in applying for this card, and help myself get good credit again.
I got the card and used it as an emergency thing, paying it on time each month. Then this past October I got a letter in the mail saying you have been approved, thanks to your credit with us, for a new card called ARIA. It cost me nothing to apply I had to just send in the paper saying I wanted it. Well I figured I might as well build my credit again, so I picked one up. I can now say that after 8 months of using ARIA and Providian Visa Classic, I am very happy I can now go into a store or to dinner with my friends, and not have to worry about getting asked, "do you have a different method of payment?"!
This card is meant for people who have little to no credit or for those who have lost good credit due to whatever reason. People who can get regular credit cards without having to worry about being turned down, probably will not like the advantages this card gives to those of us with less than perfect credit histories.
It has been helpful to me, and I am glad I can finally say my credit is back on track!
