Like many of us, the answer is simple...No! Nobody likes being taken advantage of.
How I know Providian is a scam:
Who else better knows Providian than a past employee of Providian National Bank? I worked as a customer service agent. In other words, I assisted customers with problems/questions. The other duty my job had was to telemarket customers. Who likes telemarketers? Well, good question! I've yet to find somebody who like them.
Here is a rule Providian told me I must follow:
Rebuttal at least 2 times (3 times if applicable). This means, when you say no, we have to keep pushing. That isn't very nice, considering no means no. Basically, you are wasting your money with the junk Providian "offers" you. Surrrrrre, you get 30 days to check out the program, however, it isn't always easy to get a hold of somebody on the customer service line to cancel the membership to that specific program. One reason they are under investigation for fraud is because they charged peoples credit cards without consent of the card holder.
Never EVER buy anything from a telemarketer. Even if it sounds like a great deal, don't do it! Whether you call into the customer service line concerning a question you have & they offer a great new program or somebody from Providian calls you, it's telemarketing. Providian National Bank is one of the most fraudulent companies that currently exist. They take the credit card holders for idiots and rake in all the money they can get! **Avoid using Providian at all costs!** If you do decide you are interested in trying Providian out, don't worry, it won't take long for you to learn how it works.
I have no reason to lie about Providian National Bank, I just disagree with the way they practice business!
*Don’t Forget: Whether my opinion “Wowed!” you to the fullest extent or you think it's the most worthless piece of writing you've seen, please, remember to rate my writing!
