Citibank is ok

Pros: Good online banking. Linked accounts are convenient.
Cons: I've never gotten a toaster.
The Bottom Line: Citibank is good for basic banking services. Keep it simple.

I've been with Citibank since 1987 and have only had a few glitches in that time. I have a checking account, overdraft protection and a no-fee platinum Mastercard. I have the basic checking account which only allows me to write a few checks for free each month. This is ok since I use the online banking to pay my bills and there is no charge for it. I like Citibank's online banking and they were probably one of the first banks to offer it to their customers (it used to be dial-up in the days before the internet).
I have all of my Citi accounts linked together in the online banking. I can pay my Mastercard and it is credited immediately. Same for my overdraft protection.
I like what I use them for, and I don't use my ATM card at non-Citibank ATM's unless I really need to. There are tons of Citibank locations in the San Francisco bay area so it's not a problem. I keep my savings account and get my loans from my credit union.
The tellers in the branches are usually pretty helpful and courteous. Same for the customer service on the phone.
In summary I would recommend Citibank. I haven't had any truly bad experiences with them.
