| kwsbanker's Full Review: Citibank |
Let me tell you a story about this bank, and why I have stayed as a customer for over 15 years. I was robbed - of everything, a few years back, including visa, checkbook (with a new batch of checks), etc. Citibank's customer service worked with me - the robbers were cashing my checks, so Citibank would send me copies of the cashed checks and with their help and a little luck, we ended up catching the bad guys. No, I didn't get anything back, but I did get tremendous satisfaction in working with the bank to "catch the bad guys"!
This bank is always on the cutting edge of technology innovations for the consumer. Their ATM machines are always available - around the world! And their online banking, while not perfect, is certainly accessible, now directly from the web (you no longer need their special software).
This bank has everything - it exemplifies one stop shopping, And now that Glass Steagel has been voted down, they can also offer insurance and stock related services as well.
I have been in banking for 20 years. I am particular about customer service. These guys exemplify the words, and my hat is off to them. Their rates are reasonable (for instance, they don't charge their good customers for returned checks or stop payments)and I give them three stars!
