You've got to be kidding!

Pros:It exists!
Cons:Everything else!
The Bottom Line: Pick another in the Yellow Pages - can't be worse!
Let me start by clearly stating that I have never had (nor ever will have) an account at PNC bank. My review is solely based on my wife's experience as a long time PNC customer, experiences of friends, and an exploration of what they had to offer when I last looked for a new bank - reasonable banks seem to be constantly absorbed into the nightmare megabanks!
If there is a service that can possibly be assessed a fee, PNC will have fee for it, and it will no doubt be a top-of-the-line fee! They charge you for taking your money out and putting your money in! They have monthly fees for checking unless you agree to keep a prince's ransom in your account at interest rates that defy gravity (your account never goes up). While they have some (not a lot) of employees that try to be helpful, a response of "That is the bank's policy" is probably harder for these employees to have to speak, than it is for the customer to hear. (The customer can leave!)
My wife pays for her checks, pays a monthly fee, pays ATM fees, pays for inquiries, pays "surprise" fees, receives no interest, receives no benefit for direct deposit, is charged for electronic transfers, and swears a lot on returning from the bank!
While banking is never an uplifting experience, or even a walk-in-the-park, my bank does or causes none of the above. My wife's excuse for staying with PNC is that they have a lot of offices - they can afford to - she is supporting them all! My bank has one office, not close to me. I have free bank-by-mail (postage free too), ATM fees of up to $8 a month refunded, received $50 for signing up for direct deposit, pay many bills by EFT every month for no fee, receive up to 200 free checks a year, pay no fees - monthly or otherwise, have free phone and online banking, and receive a "princely" 2% interest (APR) on my balance. I don't swear on returning from the bank for two reasons. I never have to go to the bank, and I'd rather laugh than swear anyway.
All-in-all I would say that PNC's "convenience" is very inconvenient, not to mention expensive.
