It happened Feb 2008. I noticed that I was charged 2 times for one transaction. I took all of my documents into Suntrust (FLA). They said I had to contact the merchant first( I already tried)and that they would only step in as a courtesy. I was told I would have to file a dispute since I had used this merchant before and it would take 180 days. I have been with this bank for 10 years. I decided to switch banks because I do not want to wait 180 days for others mistakes.

Personally I will not use a Debit Card again. If you do not catch the mistake within 2 days- you have no recourse!
