| daggon's Full Review: TCF National Bank Minnesota |
I had worked for TCF Bank for a few years and earned my position upward within the bank to a Assistant Branch Manager. At which time they were heavy into sales of products. For the sales of these banking products they did reward each employee with all sorts of things to include trips, cash, electronics etc. A issue between a employee of mine and me caused a problem so the Branch Manager in turn terminated me instead of the employee. Never the less a few years later I needed to open a checking account and was not employed with a bank at the time so they ran a chexsystem check on me. Only to find out that I was reported to chexsystems by my former employer TCF Bank. I had no outstanding issues with them, had no loans or credit accounts of any kind just a good standing checking, always. There was no reason with this and this is when I found out that a bank may put you on chexsystems for any reason.
I believe they in return reported me for only the reason of termination. I also belive that I may still be on chexsystems with TCF Bank and I stopped working for them in 1992 and it is currently year 2000. I did like TCF Bank for the accounts they offered but with those petty games to ex employees makes one wonder what they may do to real customers!
